By accessing or using Music Transporters' website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site and our services.

2. Service Description

Music Transporters provides professional music equipment transportation services, including but not limited to:

  • Same-day and scheduled delivery services
  • Climate-controlled transport for sensitive equipment
  • Real-time GPS tracking and monitoring
  • Full insurance coverage options
  • Professional packing and handling services
  • International shipping services

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings must be made through our website, phone, or email
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
  • Final pricing may vary based on actual distance, equipment size, and special requirements
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before or upon pickup, unless otherwise agreed
  • Accepted payment methods: Credit card, ACH, Wire transfer
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Additional fees may apply for special handling, rush service, or extra services

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your equipment
  • Declare the full value of equipment for insurance purposes
  • Ensure equipment is properly packaged or use our packaging services
  • Provide correct pickup and delivery addresses
  • Be available at scheduled pickup and delivery times
  • Pay all fees as agreed in the service contract
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Insurance and Liability

5.1 Insurance Coverage

  • Full value coverage is available for all shipments
  • Insurance coverage is based on declared equipment value
  • Standard insurance is included; additional coverage may be purchased
  • No deductibles on standard insurance policies

5.2 Claims Process

  • Damage claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery
  • Claims require documentation (photos, receipts, damage reports)
  • Replacement value is based on declared equipment value
  • We are not liable for damage caused by improper packaging by the customer

5.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the declared value of the equipment or the cost of the service, whichever is less. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Free cancellation: Up to 24 hours before scheduled pickup
  • 50% refund: Cancellations 12-24 hours before pickup
  • No refund: Cancellations less than 12 hours before pickup
  • Rescheduling: Available with 48-hour notice (subject to availability)
  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

7. Equipment Handling

  • We handle all equipment with professional care
  • Climate-controlled environments are maintained for sensitive equipment
  • Real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and shock levels
  • Professional packing materials and techniques are used
  • We are not responsible for damage to equipment that was improperly packaged by the customer

8. Delivery and Pickup

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • We are not liable for delays due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Customer must be present or have authorized representative at delivery
  • Additional fees may apply for missed delivery attempts
  • Storage fees may apply if equipment cannot be delivered as scheduled

9. Prohibited Items

We do not transport:

  • Hazardous materials or dangerous goods
  • Illegal items or contraband
  • Perishable items (unless specifically agreed)
  • Items that violate local, state, or federal laws

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Music Transporters and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation between parties
  2. Mediation if negotiation fails
  3. Binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New York State, United States.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
